Who operates the site and acceptance of the terms

showridgefy operates this website from the United Kingdom. By accessing or using any part of the site or enrolling in our specialised courses on live production decks and control rooms, including multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and professional management of television and streaming productions, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the site or our services. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and showridgefy under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Continued use of the site after any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Eligibility and permitted use

Our courses and site are intended for individuals aged 18 or over who are resident in the United Kingdom or have the legal capacity to enter into contracts under applicable law. You may use the site solely for lawful purposes related to exploring, enrolling in, or participating in our professional training programmes. Permitted use includes viewing course information, submitting enquiries via the contact form, and accessing enrolled materials for personal professional development. You must not use the site for any commercial resale of course content or to provide competing services without prior written consent from showridgefy.

Prohibited conduct

You must not engage in any activity that disrupts the site, interferes with other users, or violates UK laws such as the Computer Misuse Act 1990. Prohibited actions include attempting to gain unauthorised access to systems, transmitting malicious code, harassing staff or other participants, infringing intellectual property rights, or misrepresenting your identity when enrolling. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access immediately if prohibited conduct is detected, without refund where permitted by law.

Accounts, submissions, or user content

When you create an account or submit information through the contact form or enrolment process, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Any submissions, including feedback or uploaded materials related to course exercises, must be accurate and not infringe third-party rights. showridgefy may use such submissions to improve services but will handle personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You retain ownership of your original content but grant us a non-exclusive licence to process it for service delivery.

Ownership of site content, trademarks, and permitted limited use

All content on the site, including course materials, videos, diagrams, and text relating to live production techniques, remains the exclusive property of showridgefy or its licensors. Trademarks and logos associated with our training programmes may not be used without prior written permission. You are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to access and use materials solely for your own enrolled course participation. Any reproduction, distribution, or modification beyond this scope is prohibited and may result in legal action under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.

Third-party services and links

The site may reference or integrate third-party tools for video streaming, payment processing, or supplementary learning resources. These are provided for convenience only and showridgefy does not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for their accuracy, security, or availability. Your use of such services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them before providing any information.

Availability, changes, suspension, and termination

We strive to maintain continuous access to the site and courses but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability due to maintenance, technical issues, or events beyond our control. showridgefy may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the services at any time. In the event of termination of your enrolment, access to materials will cease, subject to any statutory cooling-off rights under UK consumer law. We will provide reasonable notice where practicable.

Disclaimers that remain subject to mandatory consumer law

While we design our courses to reflect current industry standards in live production and broadcasting, no warranty is given that completion will result in specific employment outcomes or certifications beyond those explicitly stated. All services are provided on an as-is basis, excluding any implied terms that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, such as satisfactory quality and fitness for purpose. Practical exercises carry inherent risks associated with equipment operation, and participants are responsible for their own safety measures.

Limitation of liability

Subject to mandatory UK consumer protections that cannot be limited, showridgefy total liability arising from these terms or your use of the site shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the relevant course. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profits or data, except where caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold showridgefy harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of course materials, or any infringement of third-party rights through your submissions or conduct during training sessions.

Governing law, courts, and consumer dispute rights

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their local courts. You retain rights to refer complaints to the relevant ombudsman or use alternative dispute resolution schemes available under UK consumer legislation. Contact [email protected] or 01494 671234 to initiate a formal complaint process.

Severability, waiver, changes, contact route, and last-updated date

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver. We may update these terms periodically to reflect changes in law or services; the current version will always be available on the site. For questions, use the contact form on our Contacts page or reach us at [email protected], Beaconsfield Studios, Station Road, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, HP9 1LG, United Kingdom, or 01494 671234.
